Chapter 2 A Terminal Disease

　　Her brain buzzed, feeling the whole world was turning upside down.

　　Standing in front of the hospital building, the scorching sun couldnt give her a touch of warmth.

　　"Doctor, how long can I live?"

　　"With medicine, maybe three mouths."

　　At dusk

　　Mrs. Tennyson looked at the couple up and down with satisfaction, though it was so obvious that Renee and Daniel were distant from each other.

　　Its been three years but she couldnt hear the toddling steps in the house. So Mrs. Tennyson said to Renee, "Whenever you are pregnant, I am going to give another half of the stakes to Daniel."

　　Renee was repeating Mrs. Tennysons words in her mind.

　　But she knew she was going to let her down. She comforted Mrs. Tennyson, "Yes, we will try our best."

　　Renee didnt want to leave any regrets and didnt want her marriage to be nominal.

　　After saying that, Renee didnt even dare to look into Daniels eyes. She knew his face must be like a piece of ice so she lowered her head to hide her red eyes.

　　Daniel sneered, fists clenched. He held back the urge to break her lie.

　　At night, when Renee finished washing, she walked out of the bathroom, and toward the sofa as she used to do.

　　For the past three years, every time they went back to the villa, they stayed in the same bedroom but they never slept on the same bed.

　　"Didnt you just say we would try? Come here," said Daniel, wearing a dark blue robe made up of real silk, threw his magazine aside and crooked his finger at her.

　　Renee froze, cheeks blushing. Her ears were starting to burn.

　　When this moment came, her heart was about to jump out of her chest.

　　This was what she had been waiting for.

　　Seeing Renees shy face and her trembling fingertips, Daniels eyes flashed with contempt and said quietly, "What an actress!"

　　He lifted his chin with disdain and ordered, "Take it off yourself."

　　This kind of insulting order didnt make Renee retreat but gave her more courage.

　　Her body, within half a year, might wither like cured hay. She must seize the moment and show her body at its best to the man she loved.

　　Renees eyes were overflowing with love and admiration. She untied her robe until she was in a state of undress.

　　She, a woman of 25, had one of the most attractive bodies, a huge lure to young men.

　　"Do I look good?" Renee pursed her lips shyly and her body was pink.

　　Daniels eyes got darker like deep water. He abruptly rose to his feet and pulled her closer to him with great force.

　　Renee let out a screech of pain. She didnt expect Daniel to be so rude.

　　"How is it? Is this the sex youve been hoping for?"

　　Saying that, Daniel patted her pale and miserable face, his movements much ruder.

　　There was more anger than desire in Daniels eyes. He was ashamed that there was a moment he was turned on by Renee.

　　Renee bit her lips so hard in order not to let out her scream. They couldnt have been closer than this moment. She would engrave this feeling on her mind, including pain.

　　She had always been persuading herself to give their marriage a little bit of time.

　　But today, she got the news that she was losing everything including time, of course. She could start to count down to her death.

　　Her arching brows, a bead of blood on her lips, all of this made Daniel crazy.

　　Spending the night with her seemed a good way to torture her.

　　"Are you satisfied? Did you like me a little bit?"
