Chapter 3 Life Countdown

　　Renee forced a smile with gritted teeth and wrapped her arms around Daniel, going up and down with his movements, sentimental and intense.

　　After the sex, Daniel got up without lingering for another second. His eyes flashed at the sight of her slim tender waist.

　　Bruises all over! Some were from the wires and some from his tight grip on her.

　　Under Daniels indifferent glance, Renee curled up like a ball. When Daniel looked at her, it looked like he was looking at a dead object, not different from any one in the room.

　　If a desk was broken, would people really care?

　　No, no one would. Neither did Daniel care about her.

　　"I knew you wanted to get rid of me but you didnt because of your grandmother..." Renee tugged at his sleeve, heart aching.

　　Even if they had done the most intimate thing in the world, Renee dared not to touch his hand, afraid he would just throw her hands away.

　　"I am glad you knew it," Daniel sneered without hiding his nasty look.

　　Renee raised her head, a pair of wet eyes seeming to be covered with a mist. She was begging, "Daniel, please give me three months. Live with me. I am not asking you to make our marriage public but... can you be nice to me? Three months later, I will do what you want me to."

　　God knows how torturing it was for Renee to get those words out of her mouth. She was still with Daniel now but she already started missing him.

　　She wanted him to be happy more than anyone else did! She wanted to mend their broken marriage so much.

　　What Renee said was beyond Daniels expectations. Subconsciously, he had thought that Renee was going to play tricks with him. He didnt forget his grandmother said she wanted a grandchild.

　　"Is it because you will be pregnant three months later? Then you can threaten me with it?" Daniel scoffed.

　　Renee had always known how Daniel thought of her, a greedy orphan who wanted to get everything by taking advantage of the fact that her parents saved his grandma.

　　"I dont want a kid. Thats just your grandmas saying," Renee said, clear about the fact that Daniel wanted to get her out of his life.

　　Enduring the piercing pain in her heart from his cold eyes, Renee raised the corners of her lips, "Three months later, no matter if I am pregnant or not, Ill sign on divorce paper."

　　The certainty on Renees look somehow irritated Daniel. "What will change after the three months? Nothing will. What a naive woman!" thought Daniel.

　　"Dont play any tricks with me," he said.

　　Daniel took a step back. He could accept that Renee bore him a kid who, however, he was not going to love.

　　A few days later, the suspense film Reignite started shooting with Janice Ruskin as the leading actress. To everyones surprise, at boot ceremony, the woman who stood next to Daniel was Renee, not Janice.

　　"Mr. Tennyson is such a playboy! His speed of dating women was even faster than I change my clothes," the deputy director gossiped but dared not to speak out aloud. He was wondering what Renee had done to hit on Daniel. In his eyes, Renee was just an unknown actress who though started playing since little.

　　The audience all at the same time cast their curious looks to his old lover Janice whose face was so blushing in anger that she shouldnt have bothered to use the cheek color actually.

　　Holding the pent-up frustration through the ceremony, Janice almost got crazy when she was told the news that Daniel checked into the hotel where all the crew of the film was going to stay in the next few days. Obviously, he was here to accompany Renee.

　　This was something Daniel had never done to other women!

　　People started guessing if Renee was Daniels next girlfriend and some of them began to show respect to Renee smartly.

　　The only one who really felt happy for Renee was her friend Viola who believed that it wouldnt take long before Daniel announced that Renee was his wife.

　　On the set

　　"Scene Five, First Time, Action!"

　　This scene was about a dream of Janices role where she was manipulated by Renees role so Janice was now on the wires.

　　The director looked at Janices stiff look and body, speechless. She was hung no more than three meters. How high could it be?

　　Then the director shifted his gaze to Renee whose look was just perfect with a mixture of pride and evilness. What a sharp contrast between the two actresses! He was afraid Janice might meet with a flood of criticism after the release of the film.

　　The director had to shout Cut!. At this moment, an accident arrived.
