Chapter 4 His Gentleness, Never Belongs to Her

　　A shriek was let out by Janice who fell straight down due to the loosed wires.

　　In everyones sight, Renee, closest to Janices position, took a few steps forward. She could save her by holding Janice but she didnt do anything, watching Janice drop on the solid ground.

　　Janice was weeping constantly and ignored anyones help, repeating Daniels name.

　　People around Janice emptied a way for Daniel who strode toward her and bent down to check her situation. It seemed that Janices ankle got injured so he picked her up in his arms and said, "Stop here today."

　　Renee was standing beside them and looked right into Daniels cold eyes. She didnt know what to say.

　　Who would believe that she was nailed to the ground because she was too shocked to make a move?

　　Since the big boss ended todays shooting, people dispersed but something different appeared in their eyes when they looked at Renee.

　　It was not a new story that there was a delicate air of competitiveness among actors or actresses but Renees ignoring of Janices danger was regarded unforgivable.

　　Soon, the whole set fell silent.

　　"What are you thinking?"

　　"I am glad she is alright. Nothing serious happened," Renee answered subconsciously and then froze. She turned and saw the man who was asking the question. It turned out to be the leading actor of this film, a promising young actor, Quinn Fielding.

　　Quinn showed her a broad smile, "You can explain it. You were not indifferent."

　　"Do you believe me?" Renee asked in surprise.

　　"Of course. I admire you for a very long time."

　　Renee had a perfunctory smile, thinking Quinn was just comforting her.

　　Though, Quinn had just graduated from a film school, he had a much bigger fan base than Renees.

　　The door to Janices room was partly opened and before Renee walked in, she had heard Janices screams of pain.

　　Renee stopped Quinns hand before he knocked on the door. She peeked through the door and saw the doctor was applying medicine on Janices ankle. Daniel held her in his arms and comforted her with gentle eyes, "You will be alright very soon. Dont worry."

　　Hearing his soft words, Janice wrapped her arms around Daniels waist tightly. She was experiencing pain in her ankle but smugness in her heart.

　　The pain was worth it if Daniel could come back to her, Janice thought.

　　The romantic scene in front of Renee seemed to be straight out of the movie.

　　She didnt want to stay there anymore.

　　If she was the one who got injured, Renee didnt think that Daniel would show any concern. No, she would never show weakness in front of Daniel, Renee thought.

　　The way Janice played her coquetry made Quinn laugh out loud, which interrupted Janices weeping. People inside and outside the door both fell silent.

　　Quinn stuck his tongue out and immediately ran away, dragging Renee with him.

　　After a while, the doctor arrived at Janices room. He said with a serious face, "The wires were possibly pre-cut by someone. Unfortunately, the surveillance was blocked. A girl in the crew said she saw Renee doing something with the wires.

　　"Daniel, is Renee...?" Janice started to sob as if she was the most pathetic person.

　　Janice was good at leaving an impression on others of a spoiled woman but she never lost her temper or showed any disrespect to Daniel, which he was satisfied about.

　　What Daniel didnt expect was that Renee took the initiative to hurt Janice.

　　At this moment, Renee was massaging her hands and feet with medicine oil. The abrupt incidence of the stiffness on her hands and feet made her anxious. She didnt want to affect the shooting progress and didnt want others to know about her disease either.

　　As Daniel walked through Renees door, his face turned icy and asked, "Is it because I have been nice to you recently so that you feel free to do anything you want?"

　　Renee didnt know what to think. But her look, in Daniels eyes, was pretending to be innocent.

　　Daniel thought he hated Renee but his body was more honest than his brain. He had to admit that he had taken much delight in the woman he thought he hated most.

　　These days, he indeed showed interest in her body but thats all.

　　He must be so tired of her after three months, Daniel thought.

　　"If you dare take the second chance to hurt Janice during the shooting time..." Daniel did not finish his words but Renee was clear about what the consequence would be.

　　At this moment, Renees phone vibrated. It was a message that read, The rumor that you deliberately cut Silly Janices wires is spreading among the crew! Be careful! (cry.jpg)

　　The text was from Quinn with whom she exchanged numbers.

　　It suddenly crossed Renees mind that Janices look turned very unnatural as she was lifted by the wires.

　　Due to Quinns message, Renee felt a wave of warmth in her heart and smiled widely.

　　She didnt know why Quinn didnt like Janice and gave her the nickname Silly Janice. Every time he called her like this, Janice would explode in a rage.

　　Daniel, with darkness accumulating in his eyes, was not satisfied with Renees smile.

　　"Renee, I am nice to you but that doesnt mean you can do whatever you want to hurt others!"
